The Fourth of July is upon us, and something tells me that wherever you are in the country, there will be a lot of grilling going on with plenty of tasty food and drink to enjoy. The Hungryman and I will be spending the weekend with our family in Houston, and I’m pretty sure my burger-loving husband will get his most beloved food.
While he will be completely happy with a piece of meat sandwiched in between a bun, I look forward to all the different side dishes. I like to fill up my plate with a variety of foods because, I admit, my high maintenance taste buds get bored easily. I still remember the Hungryman’s reaction when I unknowingly invaded his territory, that is his plate, with my fork for the first time. Apparently, like Joey from Friends, he does not share food. Since then he’s come a LONG way and is well on his way to adapting to his wife’s “let’s order several dishes so we can try a little bit of each” style of eating.
