As I’ve mentioned before, we live in quite a festive neighborhood. On the morning of Thanksgiving, while still in my PJs, I saw my next door neighbor on top of his roof putting up Christmas lights as I was about to sit down for a cup of tea. Wow..that didn’t make me feel lazy. Fast forward to now, and our house is still without lights or any kind of decoration. For visitors, we’re easy to spot – just look for the only house that’s pitch black in the midst of larger-than-life inflatable reindeer, candy land lights… Yes, it is time or so we keep telling ourselves…
In any case, Christmas is QUICKLY approaching (oh time, can you slow down just this once), and while our house on the outside may not reflect the season, I want the inside to smell like the holiday – cinnamon, orange, nutmeg, apples, cloves..ahhh. With just one week left to go in my graduate program (the time has finally come!!), I shall celebrate by becoming the baking queen. First things first…gather recipes and look for inspiration! So for this week’s Friday Foodie Favorites, I bring to you healthier holiday desserts I found simply by searching “holiday desserts or desserts” on Healthy Aperture. As we enter the gift-giving season, consider giving baked goods – delicious and unforgettable gifts!
