Instructions
Marinate the beef. In a bowl, combine the beef with the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Toss well and let it marinate for about 10–15 minutes while you prepare the rice.
Prepare the rice. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear. Add the rice and beef broth to the rice cooker and give it a quick stir.
Add the beef. Spread the marinated beef in a single layer directly on top of the rice. Do not stir it in. Close the lid and cook using the regular rice setting.
Add the broccoli. Once the rice cooker finishes cooking, quickly open the lid and scatter the broccoli florets on top. Close the lid again and let it sit for 5 minutes so the residual heat and steam cook the broccoli.
Gently fluff the rice and mix everything together before serving.
Notes
Cooking times can vary between rice cookers, so it's best to use the 'white rice' or 'normal' setting for best results.
Serve with a variety of options, including the following:
Pair with crunchy seaweed snack.
A side of kimchi or pickled vegetables for a tangy, spicy kick.
A refreshing cucumber salad or steamed edamame for more veggies.
