First of all, thank you guys so much for showering me with such loving and encouraging comments in response to my last post. I’m once again reminded of what an awesome, supportive community I am a part of. I just want to hug and squeeeeeze every one of you!

So I thought I’d start the week by sharing a glimpse of how I spent my weekend – It involved my favorite lil’ superhero who with his magical powers stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him on this day 3 years ago! Oh, how much he’s grown

Noah's superhero bday party

Welcome to the superhero party!

It was the perfect theme for the bday boy who is absolutely obsessed with Superman lately and insists on wearing his cape everywhere he goes. The decorations and the setup was fabulous, and once again I was reminded of how talented my sister is! Growing up, I was always so jealous of her effortless DIY skills, something I was DEF not blessed with. I was more notorious for breaking anything in my vicinity.

In any case, her magical touch wowed all the guests, and suddenly I had a light bulb moment. She should totally start a kids party event planning business! Brilliant, no? I would hire her at a heartbeat (even if she wasn’t my sister).

Words can’t express how much I love being Noah’s auntie and what a joy it is to watch him grow. As his vocabulary continues to expand, nap times becomes nonexistent, and curiosity and desire for independence begins to escalate, I can’t help but wish he would stop growing. Soon he will start attending school and his superman cape will be a thing of the past.

Since I can’t freeze time (only if I could…), I shall cherish every moments I have with him and all the kisses and hugs he so freely showers me with.  I love this lil’ munchkin of mine so soooooo much.

The party eventually came to an end and the bouncy house was all ours! Let’s just say that we each channeled the inner child within us ;).

Besides being consumed with Noah, I was able to set aside some time yesterday to think about this blog. I know I want to introduce regular weekly series so you guys know exactly what to expect, and to start, I’m thinking about sharing my weekly meal prep on Mondays. It will include my game plan and an explanation of how I executed it as well as photos of my final “spread” of meals. I haven’t worked out all the details yet, but I’m confident that I’ll figure them out as I go. So why do I want to do this? Because meal planning/prepping is a key component to eating healthy during the week. Not to mention, it will save you $$$ and time!

And because I get asked all the time “what kind of meal plan will help me lose weight?” I want to emphasize that while you may lose weight as a “side effect” to meal planning/prepping, the focus should be on nourishing your body and eating not a “perfect” diet but one that is well-balanced. I am excited to share with you my personal meal prep journey starting next Monday along with plenty of helpful tips/tricks I’ve learned over the years. Hope you stay tuned ;).

  1. Wowww I can’t believe that’s the little Noah you featured in the past!!! He’s so grown up and looks totally different, hehe! I hear you on the conflicting emotions of our little ones…on the one hand we want them to flourish and learn and fulfill God’s dreams for them, and then on the other we want to embrace them and never let go! Wah….But anyway, your sister is truly talented! They all look like such a wonderful family filled with love and peace.

  2. Oh, so cute! He is beautiful Min 🙂 What a fun party too – it looks like a lot of fun.

  3. The party looks like so much fun and Noah is quite the cutie! Sienna will be 2 in May, I should totally hire your sister to plan the party 😉

Can’t wait to see your post next Monday, sounds like a great series!
